Single-use plastic (SUP) marking on disposable coffee cups
The European Commission has issued a SUP directive to greatly reduce plastic waste. Due to this directive, plastic and cardboard drinking cups will have a mandatory SUP mark as of July 3, 2021.
The European SUP Directive has required companies to mark the plastic coating on cardboard cups. This marking clearly indicates how the coffee cup should be discarded by the consumer. It should also make it clear that the coffee cup has a plastic coating.
The marking consists of a red box and a blue box with the following text underneath: "PRODUCT CONTAINS PLASTIC". This marking is required by law to be included in the design. Our design team will help you incorporate this into your design for your coffee mugs.

Common printing technique for vibrant colors
To print the coffee mugs, we use a digital printing technique in full color: also known as CMYK. This means that with full color printing, the print image is composed of the vibrant colors cyan, magenta, yellow and black (CMYK).
Fast and cheap coffee mugs printing
Since the development of CMYK printing technology, the manufacturer no longer needs to create a separate printing plate for each color and pass the sheet through a separate printing tower for each color. It is also no longer necessary to create and check each color separately. Above all, there is no need to clean the printing tower after the job for the next production. The full color printing of cardboard cups is therefore much less labor intensive, making it much faster and cheaper!
